This may be the best cajon drum for sale in its price range.The Kopf Snare design has very crisp snare and slap and a very punchy-low bass tone. The Birch Series Snare Cajon is constructed from the highest quality Baltic Birch Plywood available. The shell is a full  1" thick which makes for a very strong shell. The duel 1/8" baltic playing surfaces are attached with steel screws that can be adjusted to your liking. This design provides a very crisp snare-slap and a very low -punchy bass tone. The screws are black oxide coated to prevent corrosion. One of the playing surfaces has 4 non-adjustable snares and the other surface has no snares for a natural tone. The semi-gloss finish is hand-rubbed to keep it as delicate as possible and preserve the tone of the drum while still providing protection. There are 4 steel reinforced rubber feet on the bottom of the cajon for non-slip playing. The top of the cajon has a very comfortabe 1" thick foam rubber seat with a polyester top.
