This Slaptop Cajon design brings elements of both the Deuno and the Snare cajon together, making a very versitile cajon instrument. The "shell" of the cajon is constructed from the highest quality 1" thick Baltic Birch Ply available. It features two 1/8" baltic  playing surface that are glued on at the bottom of the drum and screwed to the top. This allows for very crisp snare and slap tones while preserving much of the resonance of the DeUno cajon, making it a great flamenco cajon. One tapa has 4 non-adjustable snares providing a great cajon snare sound, while the other has no snares for a natural wood sound. The semi-gloss finish is hand rubbed to keep it as thin as possible to preserve the tone of the cajon while still protecting it. The cajon has 4 steel reinforced rubber feet for a stable and nonslip surface. The top of the drum has a 1/2" thick foam rubber seat with a polyester top for additional comfort and stability.
